AUS Cygnet (Tasmania)

Raspberry Picking

A couple of days ago I headed to the island Tasmania, Australia's smallest state. Tasmania is a place of wild and beautiful landscapes, friendly, helpful people with a relaxed island lifestyle. Over 40% of the island is reserved as national parks and world heritage wilderness.

Here, I started my farm work in order to apply for a 2nd year visa in Australia. The first days, of a total of 88 days, I have been picking raspberries in Cygnet, a southern town in the Huon Valley.

The work becomes quite dull after a couple of hours, but it gets compensated by the taste of fresh raspberries. However, it does not compensate for an average payment of $50/day. Therefore, I am going to start an apple picking job in two days, which should be better paid.

Vacilando

Was ich habe, will ich nicht verlieren, aber
What I have, I do not want to lose, but

where I am, I do not want to stay, but
those who I love, I don’t want to leave, but
those who I know, I do not want to see anymore, but
where I live, I do not want to die,
But where I die, there I don’t want to go,

I want to stay where I've never been.

"Wordstuck is a collection of different interesting words, mostly from other languages that do not have direct English translation. Some just sound lovely, or weird, while others are words we’ve felt or experienced, something we came to pass by everyday that we never been able to name, or something we never thought there exist words for them.
Launched June 8, 2013, Wordstuck inspires curious people who seek adventures in discovering words and languages around the world, use them in writings, or in conversations, a reference to be kept in memory or in a journal, or a reminder to name for something that happened or will happen in the future."
